Water Water Everywhere!!!

Ok.. now I know what it was like to be on the Titanic... ok, well, not really and that's probably a grim analogy. But anyway, I pulled an all-nighter from Monday into Tuesday because a freaking ocean decided to dump on our little town and flood the place. The real weird part is that I've seem MUCH heavier rain that that and we havne't had a drop of water in the house. Well, that all changed monday night. And of course, like 1 hour before my wrestling started! grrrrr

To make a long story short, and it IS a long story, I was in the basement and got to watch all four walls sweat like mad and dump about 12 inches of water into my basement which of course was full of clothing and toys... The real scary part was just sitting there and realizing that there was absolutely nothing I could do about it but watch. The water rose up in about 5 minutes and flooded absolutely everything. I do know this, God wasn't getting revenge on me, he was getting it on our whole street. 4 houses in a row got hit with water. The worst was my neighbor who moved out a few weeks ago, had no clue anything happened, and came by to check the house to discover about 2 feet in her basement. The real killer is what they hadn't moved out yet was all being stored in the basement! Well, that's going to make moving easier. They can fit the stuff that didn't get destroyed in a plastic sandwich bag! Sucks!

Well, now that I'm done, after working for what, 36 hours? I'm taking a shower and hitting my bed. No stopping me cause I'm TIRED!

Well, I changed my test site the other day to a new template. The old one had gotten way too junked up. Problem is, the CSS sheets in it are pretty restrictive so I can't seem to add much of the customizations that I used to have without mucking the whole thing up. therefore, I will be testing some stuff here on the main blog for a little while.

I'm still trying to remove the big ass Windows Media player window from the side since it hasn't worked since like 2 days after I put it up. It's out of the html code but the darn picture won't disappear. Still got the unknown DMB song playing in the background too. I've learned to like it so much I hate to remove it! And if anyone knows what song it is, PLEASE let me know!

The latest addition to the sidebar was the new product list for Bon Jovi CD's. They are releasing a 5 disk box set in November and since I always rave about Amazon, I figured I'd give my tons and tons (ha!) of readers a quick link to pick up some of their disks if they need to add to their collection. So you'll see their most popular stuff there and hopefully the box set as soon as it's available for pre-order.

Took the Plunge...

Well, I finally did it. Since the test site had a major brain fart, I trashed it and started over today. Lost all my customizations (which I knew I would) but it's all nice and clean looking now. So we'll see if I keep it.

150 Post Maintenance...

Ok.. well, My Test Site seems to be untestable these days so for the 1 or two of you who actually go there to see the wild and crazy things that I put on it... don't. If you want to see what a really messed up web page looks like... ok.. then go there. Otherwise, don't bother.

Now that we're back into the middle of the week too, most likely I won't get to redo it quite yet. Sounds like a good weekend project to me. So for now, just stick here as this is where all the action is anyway! LOL

Man I got lots on my mind. Where to I start. How 'bout tomorrow? Yeah that's the ticket!

Sabbath Monday

I usually don't post on Mondays... although I say that every time I post on a Monday... but when I realized that it was Monday and I haven't posted since Friday, I guess I kind of felt guilty. Anyway, So since my first words were "Oh My Gosh, I haven't posted since Friday!".... well... he's a new post to let you know I am still here.

Gonna be a busy week but we'll see what happens.

Have nothing to do all weekend but that usually means spending lots and lots of money... oh well... maybe it'll all work out in the end.

Ok... have no clue how this happened but I think my computer actually fixed itself! Of course, it's not lappy... it's the kids PC but I was about 2 seconds away from wiping the system clean and restoring it back to factory.... (I probably will anyway becuase it's slow as all crap)...

But the question is, do I take credit for fixing it or own up to the fact that my 9 year old daughter is probably the one who fixed it??? (she's done it before...)

Tomorrow, going to stop at the good ol' computer store and beg and plead them to let me borrow a CD to fix lappy. I don't think I can go through another Saturday morning of nothing but Cartoons... I need lappy to keep me sane....

If anything, It may mean that I actually get to blog a little more normally because I don't have to wait for the rugrats to go to sleep to be able to get online...! Yipee!!!

Checkup Time...

Well life stinks... I'm still offline at home... Lappy is still dead and I called Compaq today for a restoration CD... "Due to life expectency agreements with the manufacturer we cannot provide a restoration CD to you for your system". Huh???? It's dead for good. My only luck will be to find a dealer around that still has a restoration CD sitting around. I could try to upgrade it to Windows XP but there's no guarantee that it'll work. And I ain't spending $100 on a guess right now. Computer #2 still does not like me either. No programs will open on it under my name. They'll work for any other user in the house but not me. So I can't access all my good programs.

Old faithful has actually been coming through for me recently. After fearing it was shot to death on Saturday by Chloe monster shutting off the powerstrip, I actually repaired it back to life and saved it from the junk heap. Problem is, after an hour or so, it likes to freeze up so any work I do on that one has to be short and sweet. O well... that's the story of my life I guess....

Funeral Details...

Well, it looks like my blog may go quiet for a while... of my 3 PC's at home, 2 died last night. Lappy which has been my lifeblood for the last month or so when i got the wireless network card which allowed me to blog from the bathroom and garage, decided to take an unexpected vacation last night. For some reason now, it will boot up, and then just freeze. You can still move the mouse and open programs, but they'll all freeze right after they openned up. All I did was installed one new program and it all went to hell after that. I've uninstalled said program but it's still dead. Of course, being a Windows 98 computer, the recovery program isn't in existance and since I received that lappy from my old job, I don't have any CD's to just wipe it clean and reinstall from stratch. So unless I can actually perform a miracle, it may be DOA.

My other baby which was my old pride and joy but in the last year has just become the crapper, decided that I filled it up to much and is giving me a whopping 5 megabytes of hard drive space left. Now granted, it is like 5 years old so it does have like 50 movies and 1,000 pics and like 10,000 mp3's on it... but you know how long it's gonna take to burn them all to CD's??? I may just resort to actually trying to install the second hard drive that's been sitting on top of it for a few weeks. Just gotta find the right screws for that... shouldn't be a problem though with all the screws loose around our home!!! (gonna get in trouble for that one!)

Hump Day???

Oh no it's not!!!! OMG where did the time go!!!! Well, Monday, I usually don't post... my excuse yesterday??? Good question!!! I may need to go back to posting from work at lunch. I was even online last night for a little but totally never got to visit my blog. My bad... Hey... here's a new contest for all ya.... tell me what Dave Matthews song is playing in the back ground of this blog and I'll dig up a gift for you.... Then again, the first person to respond will most likely be the winner cause I don't even know what song it is!!!

See, when my old music codes puked out on me and I was left with trying to find something, I just searched the hard drive for the first available... up came this "unknown artist" folder, with like 12 songs in it. So I dropped the virtual pen and snagged the first file that it landed on. The cool thing is that it's a good song. The bad thing is that even though I know a few DMB songs, this happens to be one that I don't!!! My bad! So help me out world and tell me the song title!!! Thanks!

Ok... well I had all cools plans and ideas for my 100th post.. and guess what.. this is like 103... totallly missed it. My bad... oh well... I'll just start planning number 1,000... yeah like that'll happen...

Ok. I've been meaning to explain a few things here recently... I know I've added a ton of buttons and banners recently, but I am not selling out to anyone! They have all been added for my own enjoyment. The Van Halen banner at the bottom is because it is a great CD and you should get it, the Amazon link on the right is because it is a store I've spent a million bucks at and you should click the link to see what you are missing.

My music codes are for your enjoyment... yes, the player doesn't work but there is still music in the background till I can get around to rewriting the code. Ok... so can anyone tell me why 4 hours after my wife gets pulled over by a state police officer am i the one who is still shaking? She got nailed for an expired registration sticker on the licence plate. I will admit that it was expired BY 4 DAYS!!! But what i want to know is how unless they were following her for 20 miles, they were able to see a missing sticker that measures an entire 1 inch by 1 inch and is plastered on the top corner of a license plate that is usually covered in dirt! She says they were not following her but rather sitting on the other side of a bridge. I believe it because it would be the perfect place with the amount of traffic.

Either way, she got off with the officer actually admitting he made a mistake! The wife pulled out a copy of LAST years registration and when the officer read it, he thought that it said August 1 - 15, 2004 when it actually said 2003! (Guess we get beginners luck?) I still say it was what she was wearing! If I was the officer, I'd arrest her just for ...well... I won't go there.... but I'd have arrested her and taken her right home! he he he... hmmm maybe we can re-enact the incident???

Woo Hoo! Not only do I have a daughter who is now a cheerleader, I also am married to a cheerleader!!! Ok, well, not really. The wife is a cheerleader coach! But maybe she'll get a cute uniform to dance around in! Hey, I can dream can't I?

Atleast there will be lots music pumping through the speakers around home now and lots of people dancing! Hey, I grew up with Dirty Dancing being a big movie of the time! Should be lots of fun as far as I'm concerned! LOL
